My journey as an NCC Officer

Service, growth and the fulfilment of mentoring young cadets.

My journey as an NCC Officer has been one of the most meaningful and rewarding parts of my professional life. I joined the National Cadet Corps (NCC) with a strong desire to contribute to the development of young people through discipline, leadership, teamwork, patriotism and character building. I was commissioned as an NCC Officer after successfully completing the PRCN (Pre-Commission Course) at the NCC Officers Training Academy, Kamptee. I began my commissioned service as a Third Officer, was promoted to Second Officer after completing the required refresher training at Kamptee, and am currently serving as First Officer with the Rajasthan Directorate in Udaipur. Over more than 8 years of service, I have had the opportunity to train, mentor and guide cadets in various aspects of NCC activities. My responsibilities have included cadet training, discipline, leadership development, drill, physical fitness, camps, ceremonial activities and overall personality development. NCC has provided me with an opportunity to work closely with young people and help them develop qualities that extend far beyond the classroom. I strongly believe that the values of discipline, responsibility, leadership, teamwork, self-confidence and service to the nation developed through NCC can have a lifelong impact on a cadet's personality. My experience as an NCC Officer has also strengthened my own leadership, organisational and mentoring abilities. Working with cadets, planning activities and seeing them grow in confidence and discipline has been an extremely fulfilling experience. I am proud to have served as an NCC Officer and to have contributed, in my own capacity, to the training, character building and overall development of young cadets.
